Student Judicial Affairs Mission Statement

The mission of Student Judicial Affairs is to educate OSU students about the Student Code of Conduct, to promote accountability and responsible behavior on the part of all students, and to provide fairness and due process in the discipline process.

Student Judicial Affairs Vision Statement                                                                       Student Judicial Affairs will strengthen and maintain a high quality living and learning environment that promotes the intellectual, personal, cultural, and ethical development of our students.

Student Judicial Affairs is dedicated to promoting a safe, respectful, and supportive community. With this in mind, Student Judicial Affairs supports some fundamental values:

Student Judicial Affairs strives to aid students in developing responsibility, critical thinking skills, a personal identity and values, a sense of community, diversity awareness, ethical decision making, and a respect for the rights and privileges of others.

Student Judicial Affairs will:

  • Be recognized as an advocate for responsible student behavior;
  • Be recognized as enforcing community standards consistently and equitably;
  • Provide the highest standard of fairness and impartiality in the hearing processes; and
  • Provide high quality training for judicial hearing panel members.
