Changes and Enhancements to SAS/STAT Software

Overview

This chapter summarizes the major changes and enhancements to SAS/STAT software in Version 7. All of these changes and enhancements are incorporated into the individual procedure chapters and are described in greater detail.

Version 7 of SAS/STAT software contains several procedures that were experimental in Release 6.12. These include the PLS, KRIGE2D, and VARIOGRAM procedures. Note that Version 7 contains several new experimental procedures, including some for nonparametric regression and others for survey data analysis. These procedures are documented in SAS/STAT: Experimental Procedures.
