$HEXw.

w: specifies the width of the output field.

The $HEXw. format is like the HEXw. format in that it converts a character value to hexadecimal notation, with each byte requiring two columns. Under OS/2, the $HEXw. format produces hexadecimal representations of ASCII codes for characters.
