Why a Certificate of Continued Development?
Graduates from the Ambassador Program have an opportunity to continue their education and receive a certificate. OSU Human Resources/Training Services has developed a Certificate of Continued Development to recognize those graduates who take initiative to learn more through additional training.

How Does the Certificate of Continued Development Work?
After completing the Ambassador Program, graduates may enroll in any training class listed in the Faculty and Staff Development Opportunities brochure. Upon completion of 20 added hours of training a Certificate of Continued Development will be issued. Each participant is responsible for tracking his/her classes and for contacting Training Services upon completion of the 20 hours to receive the certificate.

How Do I Decide What Seminars to Choose?
Each employee has different responsibilities and job duties.  Training Services offers a variety of seminars to meet various training objectives.  We suggest visiting with your supervisor to discuss which seminars would be most beneficial in enhancing skills used on a daily basis.  Participants working toward the Certificate of Continued Development are able to attend any seminar in the Faculty and Staff Development Opportunities brochure, except the seminars labeled exclusive to a particular program.

How Do I Keep Track of the Programs I Have Attended?
A completion form can be found on the Human Resources/Training website at www.okstate.edu/osu_per/hr/training.html. This form can be used to document seminars attended.

What Happens When I Complete All of the Requirements?
Each time an additional 20 hours of training is completed, send a copy of the completion form to OSU Human Resources/Training Services, 106 Whitehurst.  We will issue a Certificate of Continued Development.

How Long Does it Take to Complete the Program?
Some employees will be able to complete 20 hours in one year; however, there is not a time limit to complete the program.

What Does the Program Cost?
The cost of the program varies depending upon the courses chosen. Individual cost of each seminar will be shown in the Faculty and Staff Development Opportunities brochure. According to policy, confirmed participants who do not attend their scheduled seminar will be charged the entire fee unless a 48-hour cancellation notice is given.  For a free seminar, a $10.00 processing fee will be applied for participants who do not cancel appropriately.  In most cases, a substitute may be sent in your place.

How Do I Enroll in the Seminars?
After determining with your supervisor which seminars would be most beneficial, you should notify OSU Human Resources/Training Services of your intent to participate in the Certificate of Continued Development. This may be done at any time via the OSU Human Resources web page at www.okstate.edu/osu_per/hr/training.html, or by e-mail, osu-trng@okstate.edu or by calling (405) 744-5374.

Once enrolled in the program, you may register for individual classes in one of four convenient ways:
