Leadership Development Program Partnership

Objective:  To enhance skills of supervisors within departments across the OSU-System.

DEPARTMENT and OSU HR Training Services enter into the following agreement.

  • DEPARTMENT makes commitment to require successful completion of Leadership Development Program (LDP) within three years for all supervisory positions. Supervisory positions are classified within the following class codes: Administrative Support Supervisor (0340), Administrative Services Supervisor (0334), Facilities Support Supervisor (4054), Skilled Craft Support Supervisor (4055), Administrative Services Manager (5057), Tech/Pro Services Manager (3151), and Sr. Administrative Services Manager (5066). The required completion will be listed on the job description as a condition of employment.

  • The LDP consists of 30 hours of required courses focusing on basic functions of the supervisory process and 20 hours of specially marked electives selected by the employee to meet special needs and interests. OSU HR Training Services agrees to provide the 30 hours of core courses at a discounted rate of approximately 50%. The core courses will be $20 each, excluding the few core courses which are free, ($160 per employee for all core seminars).

Many electives are provided free.

In-house programs are available to departments that can commit to a minimum of 30 participants per seminars session. In-house training session may be open to other OSU employees, if appropriate.
