Hey guys! I hope y'all had a wonderful spring break. I know i did! I, too, went to Houston to attend the OCA conference. We had a blast, but sadly, i'm soooo sick at the moment. I have a fever, my throat's sore, and i'm sooooo congested. Let's hope that none of the other attendees got sick either. anyways....here goes my survey.... 1. what did i like best? ummm....there's so many things that i loved! i think the best part of training was the fact that we sorta had to define ourselves first before we worked on problems. we had to find where we stand in order to solve our problems directly and effectively. that was an important step to all of the training. 2. what did i least like? the fact that we weren't more diverse. don't get me wrong, we were of all different backgrounds, colleges, and such, but i sorta wish that there were maybe like ten other people from somewhere else. I wanna know what's going on at the other colleges and communities. I wanna make sure that what we are going through here at OSU is happening to others also. 3. my overall impression? wow....i can't wait til the next conference. meeting all those nice and welcoming people was awesome! I loved just about everything about the conference! like benson said earlier, the facilitators were great, the atmosphere was adequate, and the training was effective. 4. my best memory....hmmm.....well, the icebreakers. i don't know where to begin on those. most of them i had never done before, so i liked that fact. plus, they weren't too intimate at first; they were all at a good level for the group, know what i mean? other memories were outside of the training. the drive down, the club (hee hee), the band/bar (another hee hee), the dinner, and the final dinner at sinh sinh. memories..... 5. recommendation? i would recommend that AASA become a college affiliate. It would benefit us to become part of that greater network. I would recommend more people go next year, especially the young-ins. 6. other? uhhh.....can we go to houston again? len duong, anyone? i'm ready!!! lol.... Lisa
