Announcement for Fall 2011 new students' pickup
We hope all of us are enjoying the summer holidays.
For 2011 Fall new students’ pickup, we have the following announcements to make.
1. CFA committee will try its best to arrange the pickups. So, new students please don’t worry about that. Just pack up and have a good trip
2. New students, please give us your information about your flight, major, etc. We’ll try to arrange someone with similar background to give you a ride. See below for information we need.
3. For those who would like to help picking new guys up, send us your information, such as major, available time, etc. See below for information we need.
4. Regarding the fee, based on the current gas price, we recommend a base price of $35. We have considered other costs, such as mileage usage, insurance coverage. We do not consider any additional cost caused by delay of your flight. If unfortunately it happens and causes the driver to wait for many more hours there, we recommend new student make some compensation for that. For the incoming student, another tip would be to promptly tell the driver whether your flight is on time or not. There are public telephone kiosks at airports. You could also be able to access the Internet via network kiosks there. Any worldwide Visa/Master card can be used to pay for using the telephone or network kiosks if they can accept credit card. You’d better prepare some one dollar bills in case those kiosks accept one dollar bills or quarters only.
5. For drivers, please drive safely. For good road conditions, keep a safe distance from cars in front you. For night drive, icy or wet road, please slow down to a safe speed.
