Mid-autumn Festival Celebration Party (Sept 25th, 6:30 PM) |

| This coming Wendesday is Chinese traditional Mid-autumn Festival and wish all of you a happy festival in advance. This Saturday(9.25) CFA will host a Mid-autumn Festival party to celebrate this traditional festival in Starlight Terrace, SU at 6:30 pm. Drinks, snacks and MOONCAKES will be provided (no dinner, as a reminder). Below is the detailed schedule: 6:30-7:30 social time, drinks would be provided; 7:30-8:00 video time; 8:00-11:00 game time, mooncakes and snacks would be provided; This party is free for everyone and all are welcome to join us to celebrate this reunion festival. | The total is $812.25 + 5 RMB OSCCF (Overseas Save Chinese Children Foundation) will provide most donators electronic receipts for tax deductible use. Thanks for all the support. CFA@OSU 4-23-2010 Another update: For Haiti earthquake relief, we raised 86 dollars and gave that to ISO. Though it is not much, it still means "we care". As far as CFA officials know, some of us have made additional donations to other charity organizations for Haiti earthquake relief. |

| It's scheduled on April 19th and 20th, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Chi'O Clock. We're making posters and flyers now. Hope volunteers could come and help us raise funds. All the funds collected will be donated to CMAIN (Chinese Mutual Aid International Network) or related department of Chinese Consulate General in Houston. | We brought traditional Chinese cultures to the campus. It's the first time there is Chinese group performance in this event. We got very good experience and feedbacks. | CFA's performance is listed in the first spot in the Big Group category. We will have two great performances to advertise Chinese culture to the public. Now all the performers are doing their best to practice. Hope you could come to support us. Thank you. Now we don't have any more tickets left. If you want to attend the show, you could either buy tickets in front of the Student Union Book Store from 11 AM to 1 PM every day or buy them at the door on April 2nd and 3rd in Seretean Center. | Everyone, the Year of Tiger is coming. Hope all would get good luck in a new year. As usual, CFA will host annual Lunar New Year Celebration Party on Feb 13th at 6:30 PM, 2010. AS usual, the party will be hold in Starlight Terrace, 4th floor of Student Union. First, let us express our thanks to the performers willing to show us their talents in the upcoming event. We are looking for two Chinese-speaking masters of ceremonies, one male and one female. You need to coorperate with another English-speaking MC to keep the event moving. So you could need to speak some English as well. You are under the spotlight! It's a good opportunity to chanllenge your speech and communication abilities. We still need several more people to participate in Taiji performance, 3 male for Taijing Martial Art and 1 female for Taiji Fan Dancing. We already find teachers. No matter which country you are from, you are welcome to join the show. There will be a fashion show also. Anyone interested in walking on runway attracting all the eyes and cameras, don't hesitate to show all your fine dresses. And we are recruiting volunteers to help us prepare and distribute food. We are considering some gifts for all the performers and volunteers. It depends on our budget. So we don't know what they will be. Hope you could understand that since we are a non-profit student association. For those interested in these, please send email to lawrence.xiong@yahoo.com. Or you could login our forum to reply the related thread, which is here Please specify the program you would like to join. Thank you for your help in advance. There will be several interesting games, winners will get prizes. And raffle prizes will also be given based on your ticket number. The prizes will be kept secret until that day. Admission is free to our members. For people from other area clubs, a 3-dollar price will be charged. All the money we raise from ticketing will be donated for Haiti Earthquake relief. | CFA is hosting Movie Night this semester (Spring 2010) to provide OSU students another option to spend your leisure time It's also a good opportunity to know a little more about Chinese culture. Meanwhile, this is a little thank you for all the kind and generous donation made by OSU students to 2008 Sichuan earthquake relief. The first event will be held on Jan 23, 2010 at Noble Research Center, room 106 and it will be co-hosted with the fundraising for Haiti earthquake relief. Hope we could help Haiti's people like you helped us. Free to public. Free drink and snack will be provided. Hope to see you there.
