Beta Academics

The men of Gamma Lambda pride themselves in scholastics above all extracurricular activities. We as brothers feel that there is one reason you are in college and that is to graduate with a degree from Oklahoma State University, everything else should come second to your education.

Study hall for the freshmen men at the Beta House is something we think is important. As a pledge you will be required to attend studyhall from 6:30p.m. until 10:30p.m. Sunday through Thursday. The brothers at the Beta house think that four hours a night is adequate enough time for an OSU freshman to study in order to perform well scholastically. College test are a lot harder than highschool test and require more time and input.

As a Beta Pledge you will be required to maintain a 2.6 grade point average or better to become initiated. Fraternity men in general at OSU have dominated scholastically. The All Greek men's GPA has consistently ranked higher than the all men's GPA. The top 10 Men and Freshman men have also consistently been Greek.

The Beta house does offer any extra assistance that an individual may need. We have a very diverse brotherhood with many areas of expertise. There should be no problem finding tutors or study partners. We also have each brother keep there notes and study materials from the previous semester to assist with any future students. We at the Beta house would like to thank you and look for ward seeing you the future.
