Honors Credit for Internships
Honors College students often wish to obtain "practical experience"
through internships, and faculty often are willing to work
with students to allow them to earn honors credit hours based
on the internship experience (typically with a written report
at the end of the internship). HONR 1000 and HONR 3000 are
course numbers sometimes used for this purpose. Some academic
departments have internship course numbers as well. If you
wish to obtain honors credit for an internship, contact a
member of the faculty and ask that he or she communicate with
the Director of The Honors College about this possibility
well before the time you actually begin your internship.
Internships may also be used to satisfy part of the General
Honors Award requirements. See the honors
awards section.
