Eligibility for 2009-2010
Initial Eligibility
Requirements for new freshmen
In addition to meeting the following high school grade point
and standardized testing criteria, Honors College applications
must be postmarked or submitted electronically by February
1, 2009, in order to be automatically accepted into the
Honors College. Applications submitted after this date will
be considered only if space is available.
- ACT composite score of 27 or higher (or SAT total score
of 1220 or higher) with a high school grade point average
of 3.75 or higher. (Weighted high school grade point averages
that are certified by high schools may be used.)
- Note: Freshmen failing to earn at least 3.00 OSU
and cumulative grade point averages during the fall semester
are not eligible for continued enrollment in honors courses
in the subsequent spring semester.

Continued Eligibility/Transfer Student Eligibility
Students other than new freshmen will be eligible on the
basis of OSU and cumulative college grade point averages which
meet eligibility requirements for continued honors course
enrollment.
Requirements for students with previous college credit (other
than new freshmen)
- Fewer than 60 credit hours: 3.30 minimum OSU and cumulative grade point averages
- 60-93 credit hours: 3.40 minimum OSU and cumulative grade point averages
- 94 or more credit hours: 3.50 minimum OSU and cumulative grade point averages
