Community Service Option

The Honors College provides honors students the opportunity
to become involved in community service. During the sophomore
and junior years, while an honors student is enrolled on campus,
the student (with OSU and cumulative grade point averages
of at least 3.50) may undertake community service with an
agency or organization in the Stillwater vicinity to earn
waiver of up to 3 of the 39 honors credit hours required for
The Honors College Degree. A minimum of 15 hours of verified
satisfactory community service is required for each honors
credit hour to be waived, and a maximum of 30 hours of community
service may be counted from any one semester or summer session.
Students intending to participate in the community service
option should pick up a community service form in the Honors
College office or download it using the link below. Completed
forms are due by the end of the second week of classes (fall
and spring terms).
