Why I joined The Honors College: I joined The Honors College not only for the benefits the College offers such as early enrollment and extended library book check out, but also because it is easy to become lost in such a big school and The Honors College offered small classes and a chance to know professors and fellow students rather than be a face in a large lecture hall taught by a TA.

Alayna McClendon

Major: Accounting and International Business
Minor/Emphasis: Spanish
Year at OSU: Sophomore
Hometown: Tulsa, OK
Why I chose OSU: Choosing the right college was very tough for me. When touring campuses I looked for the "at home" feeling. I definitely found that at OSU. From the moment I stepped on campus I could picture myself walking to class and hanging out on library lawn. Also, everybody I met was so friendly and I didn't even go to school here yet!
Why I joined The Honors College: I went to a very small private high school so I was nervous about coming to a big college campus with classes of 100+ students. When I found out about the smaller class sizes with more individual attention that The Honors College offered I jumped at the chance to join it. Also, I have always been the girl who really cared about grades and actually liked school. Being a part of a College with like-minded students is really comforting for me.

Eric Moffitt

Major: Interior Design
Year at OSU: Senior
Hometown: Tulsa, OK
Why I chose OSU: We have an excellent design program here, and everyone I met was very friendly.

Erica Poe
Major: Industrial Engineering and Management
Minor/Emphasis: International Business
Year at OSU: Sophomore

Why I chose OSU: When I decided I wanted to pursue engineering, OSU was hands-down my best option. I also felt welcome and cared for when I visited OSU; I knew that I could find everything I needed and wanted.
Why I joined The Honors College: The Honors College was a way of making a huge, Division I, four-year university a little more personal by setting myself apart from many other students. I knew it would give me special opportunities, as well as special personalized attention. I didn't want to get "lost in the shuffle."
