OSU's 2005-2006 Student Employee of the Year
Finalist: Kyle Jameson
Employer: Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Lab – Toxicology Section
Position: Student Employee
Nominator: Sandra Morgan DVM, MS
Kyle Jameson, Finalist
Excerpts from Nomination letters:
“Kyle has become more valuable to us each and every day.”
“Because of his great attitude, work ethic, common sense, adaptability, and eagerness to learn and be helpful, he has been trained to do far more than any previous work-study.”
“Due to the nature of the work in our laboratory, if he were not completely dependable and reliable, we would have never allowed him to run any of our tests. The quality of his work is exceptional. His training on the atomic absorption spectrometer has allowed us to get lead poisoning results out quickly even if the chemist and technologist are gone.”
“Kyle has always been a great student, but this year he has literally helped us keep the laboratory running. Our chemist resigned in April and was not replaced until July. The technologist had a two-week Belgium vacation planned a year in advance. Kyle was the sole worker in the technology laboratory during that time. He went above and beyond the call of duty for a work-study. If everyone had a work-study like him, we would all get a lot more work done.”
“Kyle’s personality is fun. He always has a smile, and he makes work enjoyable for all those around him. When he wore a mask and a cape to the lab, he was named ‘Toxic Boy’, and has become our mascot.”
“Kyle Jameson has a bright future, no matter which direction he decides to go. He is a positive person and knows no limitations.”
