Nonresidents - $47,650

Other scholarships awarded to you by other offices or organizations may be added to this total package, increasing your total scholarship award, provided they do not exceed your cost of attendance at OSU. (A student may have only one tuition scholarship in effect at any time.)

Oklahoma State University may nominate a very limited number of resident and nonresident new freshman for the Academic Scholar Program of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE). OSU offers a very competitive scholarship package to these students, known as Institutional Nominees.

All 2005-2006 freshman who apply for admission/scholarships at OSU who are eligible to be considered for Institutional Nominee status under OSRHE rules, and are nominated by OSU are guaranteed the following package of cash and tuition scholarships after they are confirmed as Academic Scholars by OSRHE:

OSRHE Academic Scholars Program: $11,200

Institutional Nominees receive a $2,800 per academic year ($1,400 per semester) cash scholarship from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for up to four years.

Requirements to retain this award for subsequent years (maximum duration of award is four years):

Maintain a 3.25 cumulative graduation/retention GPA;
Be enrolled as a full time student at OSU;
Earn 24 credit hours by the end of the Spring term each year.

Funds from the OSRHE Academic Scholar cash award will be deposited to your OSU bursar account each semester and will pay toward your costs for books, fees, housing, etc., up to $1,400/semester.

Tuition Scholarships

Oklahoma Residents - Full Waiver of Resident Tuition: $13,600 (EST.)

Oklahoma resident Institutional Nominees receive a full waiver of resident tuition charges from Oklahoma State University for up to five years. Waives 100% of resident tuition charges.

Requirements to retain this award for subsequent years (maximum duration of award is five years):

Maintain a 3.0 cumulative graduation/retention GPA;
Be enrolled as a full time student at OSU;
Earn 24 credit hours by the end of the spring term each year.

The actual value of the resident tuition waiver will vary depending on existing tuition rates and the number of hours in which the student enrolls. As tuition rates increase, the value of this tuition waiver will also increase. Certain terms and conditions apply.

Nonresidents - Full Waiver of Nonresident Portion of Tuition: $34,000 (EST.)

Nonresident Institutional Nominees receive a full waiver of the nonresident portion of their tuition charges from Oklahoma State University for up to five years. Nonresidents must pay resident tuition.

Requirements to retain this award for subsequent years (maximum duration of award is five years):

Maintain a 3.0 cumulative graduation/retention GPA;
Be enrolled as a full time student at OSU;
Earn 24 credit hours by the end of the spring term each year.
