OSRHE Academic Scholar Program at Oklahoma State University
Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Academic Scholars receive substantial assistance in the form of cash and tuition scholarships. SAT and ACT scores for the Academic Scholars Program must be from national test dates. The State Regents reserve the right to alter the minimum eligibility criteria at any time. There are three categories of eligibility:
- National Merit Scholars, National Merit Finalists, and Presidential Scholars (Oklahoma residents and nonresidents). To qualify you must have taken the PSAT/NMSQT during the fall term of your junior year in high school.
- ACT/SAT Performance (Oklahoma residents only).
Qualifying scores for 2009-2010 are a 133 sum score from the national ACT or 1540 (verbal and math) form the national SAT.The ACT sum score is computed by adding together all four ACT skill area scores from the same national test date.
- OSU Institutional Nominees (Oklahoma residents and nonresidents). OSU may designate only a limited number of Institutional Nominees. For 2009-10 freshmen, the expected minimum criteria to be considered for an Institutional Nominee opening require either (1) at least a 32 ACT composite score (or 1420 SAT) on a national test, AND a 3.5 GPA; or (2) at least a 3.9 GPA and top 2 percent ranking in your high school graduating class. NOTE: Minimum qualifying scores and GPA's for 2010-2011 wil not be decided by OSRHE until later this fall.
