Financial Aid Information for Students Transferring to OSU

Welcome to Oklahoma State University!

To be considered for federal aid for the 2007-2008 award year, you should complete the 2007-2008 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you did not list OSU when you submitted the FAFSA, you can add OSU to your application.  Once OSU has been added to your FAFSA, we will receive the application information from the U.S. Department of Education and determine your eligibility for assistance.  The School Code for OSU is 003170.

Types and amounts of financial aid may vary from school to school, depending on the cost of attendance and availability of funds in each aid program.

To be considered for aid for the Fall 2006, Spring 2007 or Summer 2007 semesters, you should:

  • Be admitted to Oklahoma State University. For more information and an application, contact the OSU Office of Admissions.
  • Respond promptly to any requests for additional information you may receive from the OSU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. You will receive written notification of your eligibility once all requested information is received.
  • If you have already taken a loan application/promissory note certified by another school to a lender, you should notify your lender of your change in plans. If you are eligible for and accept the offer of a loan at OSU, a Ford Federal Direct Student Loan will be processed for you by OSU.
  • If you receive a Federal Direct Student Loan, you will need to complete Online Entrance Counseling prior to receiving the first loan disbursement at OSU.
