NEW Freshman & Transfer Tuition Scholarships for 2005-2006

We have great news to pass along to you!  Oklahoma State University has recently adopted a new undergraduate scholarship program that will immediately help many students and their families afford an OSU education.  We are convinced Oklahoma State University now offers one of the best opportunities in the country to earn a nationally recognized degree.

Several scholarships are awarded based upon demonstrated financial need.  Please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov in order to be considered for the best possible award. 

Be sure to submit the OSU undergraduate Application for Admission/Scholarships.  

Students entering Fall 2005: Award priority goes to applications received by February 1, 2005.  Applications received after February 1, 2005 will be considered if funds remain available.

Students entering Spring 2006:  Award priority goes to applications received by October 15, 2005.  Applications received after October 15, 2005 will be considered if funds remain available.

Regents' Distinguished Scholarship*
(OK residents only)
Tuition scholarship. Renewable for up to four years with 3.00 cumulative graduation/retention GPA and 28 hours earned each year Up to $2,500/year** 30+ ACT or 1320 SAT and 3.00 unweighted GPA; or,
National Merit/National Achievement Semifinalist or Commended status and 3.00 unweighted GPA.
Academic Excellence Scholarship*
(OK residents only)
Tuition scholarship. Renewable for up to four years with 3.00 cumulative graduation/retention GPA and 28 hours earned each year. Up to $2,000/year** 28-29 ACT/1240-1310 and 3.25 unweighted HS GPA; or,

27 ACT/1210 SAT and 3.50 unweighted HS GPA; or,

26 ACT/1170 SAT and 3.60 unweighted HS GPA; or,

25 ACT/1130 SAT and 3.70 unweighted HS GPA; or,

24 ACT/1090 SAT and 3.80 unweighted HS GPA.
Valedictorian Scholarship*
(OK residents only)
Tuition scholarship. Renewable for up to four years with 3.00 cumulative graduation/retention GPA and 28 hours earned each year. Up to $1,250/year Valedictorian designation by high school, according to OSU Valedictorian Scholarship Eligibility Rules.
Academic Opportunity Award*
(OK residents only)
Tuition scholarship. Renewable for up to four years with 2.50 cumulative graduation/retention GPA and 28 hours earned each year. Fixed number of awards. Up to $1,000/year Demonstrated financial need. Preference to students from under-represented high schools or  economically disadvantaged areas of the state and to first generation college students.
Nonresident Achievement Scholarship
(Nonresidents only)
Nonresident tuition scholarship. Recipients must pay resident tuition and remaining nonresident tuition after the scholarship is applied. Renewable for up to four years with 3.00 cumulative graduation/retention GPA and 28 hours earned each year.

24+ transferable hours 3.50 college GPA;
AA or AS degree and 3.50 college GPA.

Major in computer science, information technology, mathematics, science or engineering. Preference to community college students with demonstrated need.
Regents' Distinguished Transfer Scholarship*

Tuition scholarship. Renewable for up to two years with 3.00 cumulative graduation/retention GPA and 28 hours earned each year. Up to $1,500/year 24+ semester hours with a
3.50 college GPA
Transfer University Scholarship*
(OK resident only)
1-year resident tuition scholarship. Up to $1,000 24+ semester hours with
a 3.25-3.49 college GPA
Transfer Nonresident Achievement Scholarship
(Nonresidents only)
Nonresident tuition scholarship. Recipients must pay resident tuition and remaining nonresident tuition after the scholarship is applied. Renewable for up to two years with 3.00 cumulative graduation/retention GPA and 28 hours earned each year. Up to $4,000/year 24+ semester hours with a
3.25 college GPA
Alumni Legacy Scholarship (Nonresidents only) Nonresident tuition scholarship.  Recipients must pay resident tuition and any nonresident tuition remaining after the scholarship is applied. Freshman award renewable up to 5 years. Transfer award duration varies. Up to $3,750/year Child/grandchild of OSU alumnus who  earned a bachelor's degree or higher at OSU. Must meet regular freshman or transfer admission requirements. Qualifying parent/grandparent alumnus must have graduated before student attends OSU.

**Students receiving this award who have unmet need of at least $2,000 (as determined by the FAFSA) will receive   an additional $500 per year.
