Merit Finalists and the Oklahoma Academic Scholars Program

Both Oklahoma residents and nonresidents automatically qualify for the Oklahoma Academic Scholars Program by achieving designation as a National Merit Scholar, National Merit Finalist or United States Presidential Scholar through their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

To receive full funding through OSU’s Merit Scholar program, Merit Finalists must submit the Oklahoma Academic Scholars Program application to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) with proof of Merit Finalist status.
