Nonresident National Merit Scholars at Oklahoma State University

Nonresident Merit Finalists in the 2009 National Merit Program who name OSU as their first choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, submit the Oklahoma Academic Scholars Program application to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) prior to college entry, and apply for admission/scholarships at OSU, are guaranteed the following package of cash and tuition scholarships:

$22,000 OKLAHOMA ACADEMIC SCHOLARS PROGRAM

$5,500 per year ($2,750 per semester) cash scholarship for four years;
Funds are used to pay for books, fees, housing, etc., up to $2,750 per semester;
Enroll as a full-time student at OSU;
Maintain a 3.25 cumulative graduation/retention GPA;
Earn 24 credit hours by the end of the spring term each year;
Funded by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

$71,475 (estimated) TUITION SCHOLARSHIP

Waives 100% resident and nonresident tuition charges for up to five years;
Enroll as a full-time student at OSU;
Maintain a 3.00 cumulative graduation/retention GPA;
Earn 24 credit hours by the end of the spring term each year.

$8,000 NATIONAL MERIT CASH SCHOLARSHIP

National Merit Finalists who specify OSU as first choice will be offered one of three Merit Scholar awards;
Total of $8,000 over a four-year period (payment schedules differ according to type of award);
Total includes any funding by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation or by a corporate sponsor of a Merit Scholar award;
Must remain in good academic standing at OSU.
May also receive additional cash scholarship from your college.

$4,000 COLLEGE DEAN'S AWARD

$1,000 per year cash scholarship from the Dean of your OSU Academic College
