Federal Pell Grant Eligibility for Gates Millennium Scholars Program

To be considered for the Gates Millennium Scholarship, students must demonstrate financial need by meeting the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria (Expected Family Contribution of $4,010 or less).

While it is too early to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2009-2010 year, families can obtain an estimate of their Expected Family Contribution (EFC) online at the U.S. Department of Education's FAFSA4caster website.

 

If the EFC is more than $4,010 based on 2007 income information, but the family's financial circumstances have changed in 2008, we still encourage them to complete the application.
