What is TRiO Day?

To honor the students that succeeded in college with the support of our nation's TRiO Programs and to show their appreciation and support of the continuing success of these programs, TRiO students, college graduates, administrators, counselors and teachers will be celebrating Oklahoma TRiO DAY on February 18th at the State Capitol Building. As a member of the Educational Talent Search program at OSU, you have been chosen to attend this annual event.

TRiO Day Agenda

Pick up students at Cleveland and Yale schools
Arrive at the State Capitol at approximately 9:00a.m.
Go to House Chambers for Speaker Presentations
Guided tour of the Capitol by State Representative Joe Dorman from District 65
Lunch will be provided for you. We will go to one of the following restaurants:

Chellinos Mexican
Spaghetti Warehouse
Varsity Bricktown

Tour of the Governor's Mansion
Time to go home

Van Pick-Up/Drop-Off Schedule
NOTE - You must have your signed permission slip turned in before you can get in the van.

Arrive at Cleveland Middle School at 6:30 a.m.
Leave Cleveland Middle School at 6:40 a.m.
Arrive at Yale High School at 7:20 a.m.
Leave Yale High School at 7:30 a.m.
Return to Yale High School at approximately 3:30-3:45 p.m.
Return to Cleveland Middle School at approximately 4:45 p.m.

**Please make sure you arrange for a ride home from school. we will not be taking you to your homes.

What Should I Wear?
You will be provided with a long sleeve t-shirt to wear that day (yes, you get to keep it!). It is white with the TRiO Day logo in black and red. Jeans or comfortable slacks are recommended, as well as comfortable walking shoes.
