Emeriti members are asked to volunteer and assist with the 3 May OSU
commencement. These volunteers will distribute program handouts.
They would like to have 12-15 people for each session, May 3,
8:30-10:00 (morning commencement) or 12:30-2:00 (afternoon

| Phillip "Ed" Paulin (1924-2008) |
Dr. Paulin, a lifetime member of the Emeriti Association, began his
broadcasting career after his high school graduation in Ironton, OH.
He received BA and MA degrees from the Univ. of KY in 1966 and 1975.
In 1971, Ed became the general manager of KOSU and then chairman
of OSU's Radio-TV-Film department. He received his doctorate in 1979.
He retired from OSU in 1990 and was press box announcer for OSU
football games until 2007. Ed received many awards including
induction into the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He is
survived by his wife, Micki.

| James Elmer Garton (1922-2008) |
Dr. Garton served as a
cryptographer in the Army then obtained a BS degree from OK A&M in
Ag Engineering in 1948 and an MS degree at Utah State in 1949. He was
then back at OK A&M for several years, received his PhD at the Univ.
of Missouri in 1963 and then worked in graduate student training and
water resouces research at OSU. James retired in 1985 and moved to
Pryor in 1992. He is survived by his wife, Ruby.

| Daniel D. Badger SR.(1933-2008) |
Dr. Badger will be honored at a memorial reception by the department of Agricultural Economics on what would have been his 75th birthday.
