ORGANIZATIONS FOR ALL MAJORS

Education Student Council

Purpose: To promote and foster better relationships among the students and faculty of the College of Education.

Qualifications: Applications are available each semester. Final selection is based on interviews. Must be enrolled in the College of Education with a 2.50 grade point average.

Education Ambassadors

Purpose:  Ambassadors are exemplary students chosen to represent the College of Education at university sponsored events.  Ambassadors are knowledgeable of all majors, minors, scholarships, organizations, and resources available to students in the college.

Qualifications: Applications will be accepted and reviewed each spring.  Applicants must be enrolled in College of Education and must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average.

Kappa Kappa Iota

Purpose: A Professional Organization for Educators that promotes the advancement of education by providing an effective network for the exchange of education and teaching practices by educators.

Qualifications: Any sophomore through senior student who has an interest in education.

ATHLETIC TRAINING MAJORS

Athletic Training Student Association

Purpose: To promote the profession of athletic training and allied health professionals by providing student development of clinical skills and learning opportunities. Professionals in athletic training and allied health professions present at monthly meetings, providing opportunities for interaction with leaders in the field.

AVIATION MAJORS

Flying Aggies

Purpose: To promote the field of aviation and provide members with aviation-related activities.

Qualifications: An interest in aviation.

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION MAJORS

Elementary Educators of Tomorrow

Purpose: To promote academic excellence, unite and provide support for elementary educators of Oklahoma State University, encourage involvement in elementary education both at the university and community levels, and to provide opportunities for the personal and professional development of its members.

Qualifications: Any student who has an expressed interest in elementary education and early childhood education majors.

Purpose: To make members more aware of the responsibilities and careers available in the teaching profession.

Qualifications: Have an interest in teaching as a profession.

Purpose: To provide for professional development and preparation beyond the regular classroom experiences. The organization provides for development of skills and learning opportunities in the area of health. 

Qualifications: Students must be working on a major or minor in Health Promotion.

Physical Education Club

Purpose: To foster a concern for the progress and development of physical education, advance standards within the discipline, encourage and initiate greater interaction among students, faculty, and alumni, and cooperate with and provide an opportunity for participation in professional organizations.

Qualifications: Physical education majors and non-majors with an interest in the area.
