Research Interests
Dr. Woolsey's main research focus is on the use of energy drinks and alcohol. In this area, he has specifically examined risk taking behaviors and negative health consequences of the combined use of alcohol and energy drinks (e.g. Red Bull © Vodka). He is also an active researcher in Sport Psychology and has interests in exercise and health psychology.
Current Projects
Dr. Woolsey is currently working on extending his current research to college student populations. He is preparing a grant proposal to measure the amount of use of alcohol and energy drinks in college student populations with Dr. Matthew Martens of the University of Memphis and Dr. Niels Beck of the University of Missouri. He is also preparing a manuscript titled "Differences between men and women on the combined use of alcohol & energy drinks", and a news article on energy drink use.

Dr. Woolsey is actively involved providing Sport Psychology services to university athletic teams and members of the community. He is also eligible to serve on advisory committes and is the dissertation advisor for his graduate assistant in Stillwater.
