College of Education Senior Brittany Jones Named Senior of Significance
STILLWATER – College of Education senior Brittany Jones has been selected a Senior of Significance and is now eligible for an Oklahoma State University Outstanding Senior Award. This award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to campus and community and have brought distinction to OSU.
Jones, who is from Custer City, Okla., is pursuing a degree in aviation sciences/professional pilot with minors in Spanish and aviation management. She carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average, and is also active on campus. Jones served as president of OSU’s Flying Aggies (2006-07) and was recently named the Top Pilot and Highest Scoring Female Pilot at the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s 2007 Region 6 Competition, held in late October. Jones is also involved in Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and Women in Aviation, International.
Jones has received numerous scholarships while at OSU, including “Wings of the Future,” the James R. Vandergrift Scholarship, and the Jane Trammel Scholarship. She is a Certified Flight Instructor for Oklahoma State University.
