Filmmaking Workshop
Hollywood Producer

Educators are invited to bring filmmaking to their classrooms with Hollywood Producer Chet Thomas. In conjunction with WRG Education and the Oklahoma Student Media Festival, the OSU Educational Technology and School Library Media program is hosting a free filmmaking workshop instructed by Thomas on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Willard 010.

The workshop offers experience with Independent Student Media Films, an online educational filmmaking curriculum developed for upper elementary through high school students. The workshop is open to all interested educators, but RSVPs are required by calling WRG Education at 1-800-231-4032.

Thomas is active in the film industry as a producing partner at WhiteLight Entertainment. Prior to joining WhiteLight, he worked on Steven Spielberg’s “Minority Report” and several other DreamWorks projects such as Amistad, Deep Impact, Meet the Parents, Road to Perdition, Mouse Hunt, and Saving Private Ryan. Thomas is also co-founder of ISM Films.
