The COE currently supports three international/off-site graduate programs of study.  If you are interested in exploring the possibility of initiating an off-site or international program, please contact either Nani Idrus – 4-8932 or Adrienne Hyle – 4-9893.  We look forward to working with you.

Belize Doctoral Cohort

Beginning Summer 2007, the faculty in Educational Leadership Studies initiated the first Higher Education Belize Doctoral Program.  A total of 20 students are enrolled.  Following a press conference announcing to all of Belize this first ever on-site doctoral degree opportunity, Steve Wanger and Jesse Mendez traveled to Belize City, Belize to deliver the first two core courses.  This fall, Ed Harris and Steve Wanger will again travel to Belize to deliver the next set of offerings.  Students in the program represent the range and breadth of educational institutions in Belize.  This Spring Adrienne Hyle will be traveling to Belize to deliver another course in conjunction with the February, 2008 meeting of the Consortium for Belize Educational Cooperation.  This short course will be offered to other OSU students as well.  This summer, the students will be in Stillwater for the July summer session.  Plans are underway to blend their coursework with other coursework, students and faculty.  If you have questions or wish additional information about this program and the students, please contact Adrienne Hyle, Belize Cohort Coordinator at 4-9893.

Thai Doctoral Cohort

Beginning Summer 2005, a second group of 12 Thai educators from Prince of Songkla University arrived in Stillwater to begin their doctoral program in College Teaching.  The faculty in Educational Leadership Studies are facilitating program of study in conjunction with other faculty in the COE and College of Agriculture.  This fall they are completing their coursework in Hat Yai, Thailand and in the spring they begin the dissertation phase of their program of study here in Stillwater. All are expected to graduate summer 2009.  If you have questions or wish additional information about this program and the students, please contact Ed Harris, Thai Cohort Coordinator, at 4-7932.

OKC Masters Cohort

Beginning fall 2007, the higher education faculty in Educational Leadership Studies began a masters cohort in Oklahoma City.  A total of nine students are enrolled.  Students will receive the masters in Educational Leadership Studies with an emphasis in higher education.  This first ever masters cohort in the metropolitan Oklahoma City area is designed to meet the needs of these educators without the necessity of travel weekly to the Stillwater campus.  The first two classes are being held face-to-face at OSU-OKC.  All subsequent coursework will be on-line.  If you have questions or wish additional information about this program and the students, please contact Steve Wanger, OKC Cohort Coordinator, at 4-3982.
