Dr. Kutz earned her doctoral degree in Education in 1999, from Oklahoma State University. She earned her Masters in Business Administration and Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1977 and 1979, respectively.

As a faculty member in the Aviation and Space Education program at Oklahoma State University, her specialized experience is in management, leadership, university faculty, consulting, and contract/project direction in training entrepreneurial and new business development, staffing; business and workforce development; human resource management, training design and evaluation; student preferences, employee development, team skill development; and business accounting, communications, writing skills, and presentation skills.

Dr. Kutz is an Associate Professor at OSU, but here professional experience outside the university is extensive. Most of her professional experience has been with the Federal Aviation Administration. She has been a Classification Specialist; an Airmen Certification Specialist; a Program Coordinator, Employee Development; a Staffing Specialist; a Performance Management Specialist, Human Resource Management; a Project Director, Computer Systems Design; and an Instructional Systems Specialist. She has also been the President and CEO, AMK & Associates, and has been an Adjunct Faculty member of Southern Nazarene University.

As a tenured faculty member, Dr. Kutz is a respected scholar and has had 13 of her articles published in national and international publications. She also has presented at least nine peer-reviewed presentations in national and international symposia and conferences and has been a conference presenter in an additional five conferences. Dr. Kutz is a consulting editor for the International Journal of Applied Aviation Studies, an FAA scholarly journal.

Dr. Kutz is an active member of the University Aviation Association, Women in Aviation International, American Society of Trainers and Developers, Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, and the Oklahoma Employee Development Chapter of the International Association of Quality Circles (past president). She hold licenses as a Certified Instructor, Zenger-Miller Training; and Instructor, American Management Association, Management Certificate Program. She has also been awarded Trainer of the Year, Office of Personnel Management, Dallas Region in 1987; Certificate of Appreciation, Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center; Honorary Lieutenant Governor, State of Oklahoma; President, Oklahoma Employee Development Chapter of IAGQ; and Honorary Colonel, Oklahoma Army National Guard.
