Great things continue to happen in the College of Education (COE).  The efforts of our administration, faculty, staff and students produce a winning combination with unlimited potential. 

You will soon receive our Growing Future Professionals campaign mailing and follow up phone call.  Please consider making a gift to help plant the seeds for our future professionals.  A list of development updates since June 2007 is provided below, so please review and celebrate our success! 

• $8,000 has been raised for future teaching scholarships through t-shirt sales at Joe’s Clothes.  Stop into Eskmio Joe’s in Stillwater or visit them online (www.eskimojoes.com) to buy yours today!   
• We received an $18,000 gift to fund the Myron Ledbetter Diversity Scholarship. 
• A $100,000 grant from the Osher Foundation was renewed.
• The LEGO Foundation contributed $10,000 to the Child Therapy Resource Center.
• Over 90 percent of the College of Education faculty and staff contributed to the OSU Foundation’s Family Fund Campaign.  It was the highest rate of participation of any College on campus.
• Rodney Leird made a $2,500 contribution to the Dean’s Fund.
• Dr. Audrey Oaks made a $1,000 gift to the Celebration of Teaching.
• Randy Groom provided an $8,000 planned gift toward the Airplane Fleet Upgrade Fund and pledged an additional $4,000 to theproject.
• David and Connie Smith contributed $10,000 including their Marathon Oil Match.
• Toni and Bill Stone have given/pledged $52,000 (including the Exxon-Mobil 3:1 match) for the first Counseling Psychology Graduate Student Fellowship.
• Look for an announcement of a significant planned gift to the COE on Nov. 9!

Over the past three years our Market Value/Asset Balance for our equities has almost doubled, but still we are only able to offer 5 percent of COE students scholarships. 

This year, OSU’s tuition increased by 9.98%, which has caused stress on numerous students as they pursue their degrees.  Every gift makes a difference in the lives of our faculty and students, so please consider supporting the COE.  If you have questions about creating a scholarship, professorship or chair, or providing a planned gift, please contact us.
