Dr. Pamela Martin Fry was named Dean of the OSU College of Education in March 2005. As dean, she also serves as the Director of Professional Education. Dr. Fry joined the OSU faculty in 2001 as Professor and Head of the School of Teaching and Curriculum Leadership and served as interim dean of the College in 2004. Dr. Fry is a national board member for the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education and for its state affiliate, the Oklahoma Association of Colleges of Teacher Education. Dean Fry teaches and publishes in the area of curriculum and teacher education. In 1996 she received the Association of Teacher Educator’s Distinguished Research in Teacher Education award. In addition, she has co-edited Action in Teacher Education, a premiere journal in teacher education, from 2000-2003. Dr. Fry received her bachelor of science degree with highest honors in education from the University of Oklahoma and her masters in applied behavioral studies and doctorate in curriculum and instruction from OSU. She was named the Outstanding Graduate Assistant in the OSU College of Education in 1989. Prior to coming to OSU, she held the position of professor of educational leadership and policy studies at the University of Oklahoma. She also served as the Associate Dean of Teacher Education and as interim department chair of Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum while at OU.

C. Robert Davis has served on the OSU faculty since 1978. His previous administrative responsibilities include serving as academic area program coordinator for Special Education and coordinating the OSU College of Education activities in the University Center at Tulsa as director of external teaching centers. Within his research area at OSU, he has written more than 80 administrative law decisions in 20 years of service with the Oklahoma State Department of Education as a hearing and appellate officer related to special education services in the state. He just completed a four-year grant project with two colleagues involving a rural education initiative that included special education, reading and school psychology. He received his B.S., M.Ed., and Ph.D., all in special education from the University of Oklahoma. He was the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award from the College of Education in 1982, was named the Outstanding Faculty Associate at OSU in 2000 and the OSU Faculty Associate of the Year in 2002, and in 2005 was named the recipient of the Golden Torch Faculty Award from Mortar Board.

Dr. Steve Edwards

Dr. Steve Edwards assumed the role of Interim Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research in January, 2008. A full professor, Edwards has served as the Associate School Head for the School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology and as the Health and Human Performance Program Coordinator. He has been an Oklahoma State University faculty member since 1982.
Edwards is a certified consultant for the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. He is also a member of the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry and a Fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine. His areas of expertise include exercise and sport psychology, research design and statistics, psychometrics, and measurement and evaluation. He has numerous national and international publications and presentations and is nationally recognized for his work in the psychology of physical activity and exercise. He is a Captain, the Training Officer, and Fire Investigator with the Ingalls Fire District in Payne County Oklahoma. He is trained as an EMT-B and consults nationwide in the fire service in the areas of both knowledge and psychomotor skill testing. Edwards earned bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees from Purdue University.

Dr. John S. C. Romans

Dr John S. C. Romans was named Head of the School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology on June 1, 2006. He holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas, a Masters degree in Counseling from the University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University. He joined the OSU faculty in the Counseling Psychology area in 1990. He has served in a variety of administrative roles at OSU including Counseling Area Coordinator, Associate School Head, and Associate Dean. Dr. Romans' research interests include stalking and interpersonal violence, and career development. He recently served as the Lead investigator on OSU's Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs grant project with the Tulsa Public School District. Dr. Romans was selected as the University student organization advisor of the year in 2002 for his work with the Education Student Council.

Dr. Bert Jacobson

Dr. Jacobson joined the Oklahoma State University faculty in 1986. He has served as professor, as Health and Human Performance Program Coordinator, and as Coordinator of Research and Graduate Studies while at OSU. He has also been a member the Institutional Review Board, the Termination Hearing Board, and has chaired the Academic Appeals Board. Prior to joining the OSU faculty, he served as an assistant football coach and strength-and-conditioning coordinator for the Athletic Department as OSU. He is currently the Head of the School of Educational Studies in the College. Dr. Jacobson is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and has published well over 100 refereed research articles and abstracts and has an equal number of peer reviewed presentations. Dr. Jacobson holds an Ed.D. from Oklahoma State University in Health, Physical Education & Recreation, an M.Ed. from Northwestern State University and a B.S. degree from Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Christine K. Ormsbee

Dr. Christine K. Ormsbee joined the OSU College of Education June 2006 as Professor and Head of the School of Teaching and Curriculum Leadership. Dr. Ormsbee holds a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Kansas, a Masters degree in special education from Emporia State University and a Bachelors degree in psychology and special education from Emporia State University. With over two decades in the profession she has established a consistent record of scholarly publications and presentations, which address her interests in providing strategies and supports for teachers who work with children with learning and/or behavioral concerns. Specifically, her research has focused on collaborative processes including peer coaching, co-teaching, and preassessment. She has served as an Associate Editor of the journal Intervention in School and Clinic since 1997. While at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Ormsbee received the 2001 BP Amoco Good Teaching Award and the College of Education Teaching/Advising Award and was named the 2002 Oklahoma Special Educator of the Year by the Oklahoma Federation of the Council for Exceptional Children.
