My responsibilities in this position included the development of instructional, extension, and research programs in Computer-Aided Manufacturing and Robotics. Major accomplishments included leading the development and sustainment of an higher education coalition in support of the aviation sector (CASI) development of a research and instructional programs; additional duties included service on, and chairing of University and departmental committees, development of teaching aids, pursuit of funded research and equipment grants, and development and delivery of professional seminars.

My primary duty in this position was to revitalize the manufacturing engineering portion of the Industrial Engineering program. During this time, the undergraduate courses were revised and updated and efforts to establish a CAM program were begun. A shift in professional interest from Production Control to Manufacturing was developed while in this position.
