Agricultural
Land Valuation (7 hours)
This unit covers the methodology prescribed by statue on the valuation
of agricultural land for Ad Valorem tax purposes in Oklahoma. Emphasis
is placed on data collection, sources, screening and confirmation. Valuation
using a weighted combination of sales and capitalization rentals is discussed
and applied in a comprehensive case study. This course consists of seven
hours of classroom instruction and a three hour exam.

-Civil and Criminal (6 hours)
General study of Appeals Process; Civil and Criminal Rules of Supreme
Court; Accelerated Docket Procedures and Fast Track Procedures.

Basic
Mapping (9 hours)
Similar to a three-day course required by law for Assessors, this course
details how land is platted and surveyed and how this information is applied
to mapping of tracts. Figuring acreage, determining lengths and various
measures are just a few of the things covered in this very practical course.
Everyone in the courthouse should hold this information.

Budget
Process (12 hours)
Two days of learning how the SA&I Estimate of Needs and Financial
Statement is completed. Sources of revenues, plus reporting of revenues
and expenditures, are covered in detail. Statutory guidelines and requirements
for appropriations and estimating available revenues are presented. Practical,
hands-on exercises are used throughout the course. Participants will gain
a more thorough understanding of budget processes.
