OSU Army Blades Take Pride in Community Service
Army Blades was organized in 1963 as a support group for the Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) at Oklahoma State University.
During the past 35 years the Blades have worked to promote interest in Army ROTC, have increased interaction with the cadets through social events and have assisted in fund-raising events for local, non-profit organizations.
Membership in Army Blades is open to any female OSU student who is interested in helping others and belonging to an organization. The Blades accept new pledges at the beginning of each semester through an application and interviewing process.
While we do show patriotism through support of the OSU Army ROTC cadets, no contract is required to be a Blade. We do not participate in physical training exercises with the cadets, but we do attend the tests to offer moral support and assurance.
Interested females should drop a note off at either of the Army Blades mailboxes. The boxes are located in the mailroom on the 2nd floor of Thatcher Hall, or in the Student Activities Office in the basement of the Student Union. Your interest in our organization is greatly appreciated!
