PREREQUISITES:

Elementary instruction in plant biology

OBJECTIVES:

The general course objectives are to provide the student knowledge of the fundamental concepts of ecology of the forest ecosystem and an understanding of how knowledge of forest ecology can be applied to management of forest resources. The course will focus on the tree as a member of a community and the interactions between the community and the environment.
