University Health Services provides services for most outpatient care needs. Our clinic is available on a walk-in or an appointment basis. We have physicians, physician associates, licensed nurses and other health professionals to assist students with their health needs. Laboratory Services and Radiology
University Health Services has a full service laboratory and radiology department. This department will perform lab tests and X-ray services upon request of a physician. A consulting radiologist interprets all X-rays. Hours of operation for this department are the same as the general clinic. Pharmacy
University Health Services has registered pharmacists on staff to fill prescriptions and assist patients with questions they may have regarding their prescription and its interaction with other medication. The Pharmacy can fill prescriptions written by physicians at the health center or from a private physician as the formulary will allow. We can assist in transferring a prescription from your home pharmacy to OSU. All students, faculty and staff are eligible for full access to the pharmacy. Health Education
The health education department conducts programs and presentations in addition to providing health information and resources for the greater university. Those programs include topics, such as; prescription drug abuse, alcohol education, stress management, condom use, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections and date rape/sexual assault. Allergy Clinic
UHS provides services for those students who require allergy injections. We also provide allergy testing referrals and immunizations for common diseases. Immunizations
University Health Services offers all immunizations needed by OSU students. Measles, Tetanus, Hepatitis A & B, Meningitis and Chicken Pox. Also TB skin testing is provided. We also provide vaccinations needed for overseas travel.
Immunizations and TB skin tests are provided Monday-Friday from 8:00AM to 11:30AM & 1:00pm to 4:30PM ONLY.
Meningococcal Disease
The State of Oklahoma has enacted an immunization requirement for college and university students who live in campus housing.
Effective with the Fall 2004 semester, all new students, (including transfer students and graduate students), are required to comply with Section 3243 of Oklahoma Statutes Title 70. This requires that students who live in campus housing comply with one of the following options:
Option A: Be immunized for meningococcal disease
or
Option B: After having reviewed information about meningitis provided by OSU, decline the vaccination.
These choices will be part of the housing contract provided by OSU Residential Life and this must be completed prior to being allowed to move in. To read more about meningitis and the vaccine

New ACIP guidelines on Meningococcal booster vaccination:
If you are younger than 21 years of age and were vaccinated for meningococcal disease five (5) years before enrollment at OSU, it is recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) that you should have a booster dose. The booster dose can be administered anytime after the 16th birthday.
Note: This only applies to students living in campus housing.

Counseling Services
Personal counseling services seeks to support the personal, social and intellectual growth of members of the University community. This goal is accomplished by way of a broad range of counseling services that are provided by the professional staff. Session with the counselors are confidential. Personal Counseling may take place in either an individual or a group setting. Included in the variety of concerns dealt with in personal counseling are:

Women's Clinic
The Women's Clinic is provided for the female population of Oklahoma State University. Located in a quiet and private area of University Health Services, the clinic offers information and treatment for a wide range of gynecologic problems including annual pap testing and contraception services. The Women's Clinic is staffed by the physicians, physician associates and nurses of University Health Services. The Women's Clinic is available by appointment only. The hours of service are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment or for more information call (405)744-7032.
Physicals
Provides 1st, 2nd and 3rd class flight physicals for commercial and private pilots. By appointment only. For an appointment or for more information you can call (405)744-7665.
Married Students
Your spouse is now eligible to use University Health Services!
Continuing our program, spouses who are not enrolled at OSU can take advantage of all the Student Health Services offered to enrolled students. By paying the Spouse Health Fee of $60.90, your spouse will have access to physician care, lab and x-ray services, pharmacy and personal counseling services. This also includes specialty services such as our Women's Clinic and Allergy Clinic.
There is a co-pay to see a physician or nurse practitioner at University Health Services. There are also additional fees for lab, x-ray and pharmacy, but you will find these to be very inexpensive.
