Job Summary
Basic responsibilities will include planning, developing, conducting, and evaluating 4-H programs within the county. Other responsibilities include volunteer leader recruitment, training and management; and the coordination of 4-H activities and other youth programs. Visibility of educational programs and accomplishments, effective leadership with planning committees and volunteers, and accountability to county leadership is expected. Some night meetings and weekend activities are required. The person selected for this position is expected to establish and maintain residence in Garfield County. All Extension Agents hired after August 1, 1988, with only a Bachelor's degree are expected to have satisfactorily completed all requirements for a Master's degree within seven (7) years from their date of appointment.
